VS Marsh Valley Eagles (8-17-1)
4A SE IDAHO CONFERENCE DISTRICT TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONSHIP
Location: Preston Softball Field (Tony Hansen Complex, behind Jr High School, Preston, Idaho)
Game 1 First Pitch: 11:00 AM
Game 2: (Only necessary if Marsh Valley wins game 1, would take place shortly after Game 1 conclusion)
With District 5 boasting two representatives, both Preston and Marsh Valley have clinched spots in the 2026 Idaho 4A Softball Championships. With that still a week away, these teams will go to battle for District bragging rights as the top team in the 4A SE Idaho Conference. Preston (21-2) came in as the 1 seed and will be looking to exit district tournament play in the same spot. Marsh Valley (8-17-1) came into postseason play with only one conference win but have found their rhythm late going 3-1 in the tournament including a massive upset over Bear Lake on Thursday. Preston has gone 3-0 against Marsh Valley this year, with their latest win happening during tournament play on Tuesday, a 12-7 victory for the Indians.
That one loss for Marsh Valley in what is a double elimination tournament means that Preston only needs one win to capture the conference crown, whereas Marsh Valley would need to win two times against Preston today to pull off another upset.
