SODA SPRINGS, ID. – On Friday at 10:38 a.m., the caribou County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a collision involving an SUV and a semi-truck pulling a trailer at the Highway 30/Highway 34 junction. The driver of the SUV Pauline Rigby (66) of Grace, Idaho, was traveling northbound on Highway 34. The semi, driven by Luis Manuel Govea Lemus (25) of Portland, Oregon and his passenger Manuel Govea Maldonado (60) also of Portland, was traveling eastbound on Highway 30. As the semi approached the intersection, Rigby pulled out, northbound across Highway 30 and the semi and SUV collided. Several units responded to the scene, Rigby was transported by Air Idaho to Portneuf Medical Center for treatment. Luis Manuel Govea Lemus and Manuel Govea Maldonado were transported by ambulance to Caribou County Memorial Hospital for treatment. The crash remains under investigation by the Caribou County Sheriff’s Department.
