Summit County, UT.    –    On July 19, 2018 at approximately 12:30 p.m., the Summit County Sheriff’s Office received a report from the family of 66 year old, Ray Humpherys of South Jordan, that he had not returned to camp around 10:00 p.m. on July 18, 2018 in the Hidden Lake area of the Wasatch Cache National Forest. Summit County Sheriff’s Deputies and Summit County Search & Rescue members were immediately activated and are currently searching for Mr. Humpherys. He was last seen wearing a black jacket and vest, gray shirt, tan/grayish pants, and was wearing a hat. Mr. Humpherys is 6’01’’ 190 pounds, short gray hair, and no facial hair. Anyone who may have seen Mr. Humpherys is encouraged to call the Summit County Sheriff’s Office at (435)615-3600. Search & Rescue teams are searching by ground and horseback – the Utah Department of Public Safety helicopter, and Great Basin K9 Search & Rescue are also assisting in the search.
