Salt Lake City, UT.   –  Utah has added a new state symbol, a state dinosaur. Utah lawmakers passed a bill that designates the Utahraptor as the state’s official dinosaur.

The original proposal would have replaced the Allosaurus, with the Utahraptor, as the state fossil, but the decision was made to simply add a new state symbol.

10-year-old Kenyon Roberts, who inspired the bill, address lawmakers on Monday accoring to The Deseret News.
