Summit County, UT.    –     On July 24, 2018 at approximately 3:00pm, the body of 66 year old Ray Humpherys was found in the Middle Fork drainage area – approximately one and one half mile (1.5 mile) west from where he was last seen near Hidden Lake. There is no suspected foul play in the death of Mr. Humpherys, and the injuries are consistent with the harsh terrain and environment. The body has been transported to the State of Utah Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy. Ray Humpherys went missing on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at approximately 10:00pm. The Summit County Sheriff’s Office and Search & Rescue immediately began searching for Mr. Humpherys. Thousands of hours were given from hundreds of volunteers. The Summit County Sheriff’s Office wishes to thank the many people and organizations who helped in this search.
