Ogden, UT.  – Authorities rescued a 19-year-old hiker from Logan Canyon near Logan, Utah on Monday morning, following a night spent in the canyon.  The hiker, Max Susman, called for help on Sunday night after he hiked into an area where he couldn’t get down. Rescue teams couldn’t operate that rescue chopper after nightfall, so they opted to drop supplies and sent rescue team members to the spot, to stay overnight with Susman, in below freezing temperatures in order to ensure his safety.

Susman was hoisted out of Logan Canyon by Monday morning, and he sustained no injuries as part of the ordeal according to Cache County Sheriff Chad Jensen.
