Pocatello, ID.  – Police arrested 29-year-old Christopher Griffin of Pocatello on Thursday. Griffin was in possession of a Molotov cocktail fire bomb when stopped by police.

Police say that Griffin allegedly threw the first explosive at the Bannock County Courthouse early Wednesday morning, and was was en route to throw another when he was arrested.

Investigators were tipped off by someone at a gas station, who became suspicious, when Griffin returned on Thursday to fill another glass bottle with gas after having previously filled a bottle on Wednesday morning.

Griffin is currently in the Bannock County jail on felony arson charges. If convicted, he faces a maximum of 20 years in prison and a $100,000 fine.
