Idaho Falls, ID.   –  Idaho National Laboratory researchers will now be able to conduct full-scale experiments aimed at modernizing power systems, thanks in-part to recent upgrades that were recently installed at the Idaho National Laboratory’s electric grid testing area.

The new upgrades will increase the resiliency of the power systems and will also provide researchers with an environment to test new devices, in addition to allowing for the replication of various grid environments found across the country.

Researchers now believe they will be better equipped to work out potential bugs in the devices that could eventually be integrated into power systems nationwide.
