Casper, WY. – Wyoming resident, Janna Szynskie was sentenced to seven to 10 years in prison in Natrona County District Court on Wednesday for taking hundreds of brass vases from Memorial Gardens and Highland cemeteries in Casper.
Szynskie allegedly stole hundreds of vases, then recycled the nearly 2,700 pounds of brass for a profit of nearly $3,000.
In addition to the prison sentence, Szynskie will also be required to pay $40,500 in restitution.
In court on Wednesday, Szynskie spoke, stating multiple times that she was sorry.
