Jackson, WY.  — 48-year-old Christopher J. Chapman, of Pocatello, Idaho died Saturday morning while rafting the Snake River with his family.

According to Lincoln County Coroner, Michael Richins, Chapman drownded after being in the water for close to an hour.

Witnesses say that Chapman was thrown from his raft, along with all but two of the others in his party. Authorities say that the other people were pulled back into the raft but Chapman couldn’t be retrieved.
