Wheatland, WY. — A former Wyoming fire district board member could face a possible 648 year prison sentence if convicted on 81 counts, including multiple larceny counts by a public official, stemming from his alleged embezzlement of more than $237,000 from the Platte County Rural Fire District 1F.

On Tuesday, Donald Moede was charged with allegedly withdrawing around $165,000 from the fire district’s bank account to pay balances on his personal credit cards, and to make direct deposits into his own bank account, among other acts.
