Soda Springs, ID. – The 30-day comment period on the Proposed Plan for cleanup of the Ballard Mine site runs from April 2 through May 1.

An open house will be held on April 11 at the Soda Springs City Hall from 3:00 pm to 5:30 so that interested people can talk with technical staff and learn more about the Ballard Mine site, the SE Idaho phosphate patch, and the proposed cleanup plan.

At 6:00 pm (on April 11 at the Soda Springs City Hall) EPA will present a summary of the study at the Ballard Mine, and our preferred alternative for cleanup, followed by a brief Question and Answer period. Directly following the Q&A, EPA will open the formal hearing for oral comments on the Proposed Plan.
