Soda Springs, ID.    –    To help parents prepare for 2018-2019 School Immunization Requirements, Southeastern Idaho Public Health
(SIPH) will be holding immunization clinics on Monday, August 6th and Thursday, August 16th.

The clinics are by appointment only. Their office is located at 55 East 1st South in Soda Springs.

SIPH will be handing out backpacks to all students, 5-18 years old, who receive their immunizations at the Caribou SIPH office. They will also be entered into a drawing for a tablet.

Legally, in order to enter kindergarten, children are required to have 5 DTaP, 2 MMR, 4 Polio, 3 Hepatitis B, 2 Varicella (Chickenpox), and 2 Hepatitis A. In order to enter 7th grade, children are required to have 1 Tdap and 1 Meningococcal immunization. In addition to school required vaccines, the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends all 11 year-olds also receive the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) vaccine. SIPH can also complete any unfinished vaccination series like Hepatitis A or Varicella.

No child will be denied routine vaccinations based on the inability to pay. Parents are requested to bring their child’s up-to-date immunization record and insurance cards and coverage information with them to the clinics.
